| Over the last forty five-years there has been a considerable quantity of academic research conducted into Roth's work, initially in the USA and latterly in Germany and Austria. I have made available an extensive bibliography of secondary literature on this site (click HERE). Additionally you might consult some or all of the following, which also serve as excellent starting points for the study of Roth's work: Rainer-Joachim Siegel, Joseph Roth - Bibliographie (Morsum, Sylt: Cicero, 1995) David Bronsen, Joseph Roth: Eine Biographie (Cologne: Kiepenheuer & Witsch, 1974; shortened version 1993) Helmuth Nuernberger, Joseph Roth: mit Selbstzeugnissen und Bilddokumenten, 7th edn (Reinbek: Rowohlt Taschenbuch, 1994) As an additional guide to the trends and currents within the existing research on Roth I have posted a brief review of research. This essay, written in the course of my own research, makes no claim to be comprehensive and of course reflects my own opinions. If you are interested please click the link below. 'Patterns in research on Joseph Roth: A Brief Overview' by Jon Hughes If you would like publish your own work on Roth on this site feel free to mail me, and I will consider it.
